How much does Zorin os lite use Ram.

   How much does Zorin os lite use Ram.

I have a laptop having older hardware and i am running window 8.1, having ram DDR3 2 gb ram , as laptop become older it doesn't give best performance it will lag,freeze etc. As compare to window linux are light weight.

I am searching the light weight linux distro, so i am decided to use zorin os lite so i have dual boot Zorin os lite , so i am so excited to know ram uses by Zorin. And the ram uses nearly 614 mb. My window 8.1  taking ram nearly 900 to 1200 mb of ram.

Processes of checking ram uses on linux.

step 1) search by typing 'Task manager.

step 2) it is showing in percentage .But i know want to know in MB.For that Fallow step 3.

step 3) to see ram usage on bytes for that go to  setting and click 'show memory uses in bytes'.

step 4) now we are able to see  ram uses on bytes.

So  ram uses is 614 mb of ram on DDR3 2 gb ram.

I found Zorin is lighter then window 8.1 on my older hardware.

But linux are hard to use as compare to window.On linux everything we have to do with the help of command.
